COMMUNITY & CONSERVATION

Safeguarding our Wilderness

By existing in the Okavango Delta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Atzaró Okavango Camp is profoundly responsible for protecting this wild yet fragile ecosystem.

In partnership with African Bush Camps and the African Bush Camps Foundation, we are passionately committed to conserving Africa’s pristine wilderness while empowering and uplifting the lives of the local communities.

To safeguard Africa’s treasured environment for future generations, we’ve implemented key conservation and sustainability measures as part of our daily operations.

We’re immensely proud of our partnership with African Bush Camps, leaders in the African safari industry.

Together, we’ve created Atzaró Okavango Camp in harmony with nature, with a light-impact yet luxurious safari camp in Botswana that’s underpinned by a commitment to sustainability and responsible tourism.

Community & Conservation

Our Initiatives

Education

Improving the quality of learning facilities, providing access to education for the less fortunate, and offering job shadowing opportunities.

Community Empowerment

Implementing practical and sustainable solutions that address challenges related to skills development and unemployment faced by our communities.

Conservation

Improving human-wildlife coexistence, protecting wildlife and livestock, and conserving wildlife and natural resources in our communities and national parks.

"Swaddled in checkered blankets by the fire with a cocktail in hand, at times Atzaró Okavango can feel worlds apart from the primal landscape surrounding it. That is, until the trumpet of an elephant foraging its way through camp not 10-meters away leaves you staring in awe. This magical place exists as a part of the living environment of the Delta."
