We drew inspiration for this structure from traditional bomas seen throughout Botswana, which are a significant part of social life and meaningful cultural symbols. In centuries past, the purpose of a boma was a livestock enclosure, corral, small fort or community enclosure.At Atzaró Okavango Camp, our Ancestral Boma signifies our respect for the region’s First People and their connection to this diverse ecosystem.
